Bee And The Daisy
Flowers

Available

The primary way by which most plants are propagated is through their flowers. With flowers that grow close to the ground such as daisies, the process goes on in full view, as bees move from blossom to blossom transporting pollen between the male and female reproductive organs of the plants.

When a bee lands on a daisy flower, it immediately seeks out nectar; in the process, it picks up thousands of microscopic pollen grains on its body. As it moves around on the daisy, it redeposits the pollen from the male anthers to the female stigmas.
